Get Ready, Upper East Siders: The OG Gossip Girl Costume Designer Is Back For the Reboot

HBO Max has been pretty tight-lipped about its forthcoming Gossip Girl reboot, but we just learned a crucial detail that has us even more excited for the eventual debut. The show's original costume designer, Eric Daman, recently confirmed that he's on board for the spinoff, meaning we'll be treated to more head-turning, trendsetting outfits from the genius responsible for Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf's most iconic looks. Eek!

While we secretly hope this entails the return of Blair's signature headbands, Leighton Meester won't be the one wearing them, if they do make a comeback. The Gossip Girl spinoff is essentially a continuation of the OG series and will revolve around a whole new set of Upper East Side teens at Constance Billard School for Girls. What will be the 2020 equivalent of Serena's yellow ruffled bridesmaid dress? How will Eric possibly top Jenny Humphrey's edgy wardrobe? Will there be any sweatpants-over-dress wardrobe malfunctions this time around? You better believe we'll be tuning in, whenever that may be, to find out.

But Seriously, Where Can I Buy That Tweed Dress From Never Have I Ever?

Netflix's Never Have I Ever is certainly a must watch for its relatable humor, cultural exploration, and, of course, charming love interests. But in between giggling at Devi's awkward moments and relating to her family's struggles, I was zeroed in on these teen characters' style choices . . . most importantly, the outfit Devi models for Paxton's sister, Rebecca, in a last-minute "fashion emergency."

While I'm far from being a teenager, I was absolutely obsessed with Devi's yellow tweed dress (and matching booties). I mean, are we really supposed to believe that a young teen designed this daring yet polished outfit?! Though we only get a peek of one look from Rebecca's collection in episode eight, thankfully, Never Have I Ever's costume designer, Salvador Pérez Jr., recently shared more where that came from.

Pérez posted a carousel of photos featuring the full 2020 Rebecca Hall-Yoshida Collection on his Instagram, which includes a whole lot of tweed, hearts, and color. In the caption, the designer explained that he "designed very simple and sweet pieces that a teen girl could have made herself." And if you're a big Mindy Kaling fan, you might have noticed that Pérez used leftover clothing from The Mindy Project to create Rebecca's collection. "I think @target should market the collection!" he added. So, seriously, who can I talk to about buying these pieces for myself? Check out these amazing outfits below.

13 Cloth Face Masks You Can Buy on Etsy Right Now

At the moment, the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) is recommending all Americans wear some kind of face covering when out in public. That means we're in need of some face masks, and if we're going to be wearing them frequently, we should like the way they look. Thankfully, there are a bunch of cute options at Etsy, and we've rounded up our top 13 picks.

From tie-dye styles to leopard-print picks and classic black masks, there's an option for everyone, and we'd definitely recommend buying a few. These are all machine washable (which is super convenient) and while they're not medical grade, they'll keep you covered. Keep reading to shop our picks.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Pleated Set Is Basically the Outfit Equivalent of a Cloud

If I'm being honest, I never don't want to dress like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I've admired the model's classic style for quite some time, but now more than ever, I'm turning to her for inspiration on how to look and feel put-together during a time when so much else feels out of my control. Rosie's latest effortlessly chic loungewear outfit is yet another example.

In a photo recently shared to Instagram, Rosie is wearing an ivory pleated outfit consisting of a relaxed button-up and trousers by Fall Winter Spring Summer, or FWSS. She accessorized with a chain link necklace and oversize, earthy bangles. Apart from looking incredibly comfortable, the outfit strikes the right balance in that it would also look appropriate for a video meeting. Look ahead to check out Rosie's exact matching set, as well as similar pleated options.

TikTok Caught Blake Lively Wearing Sweatpants Over Her Bodycon Dress in Gossip Girl, and Honestly? Same

Hello, Upper East Siders! I was scrolling through TikTok when I happened to come across a video of a Serena van der Woodsen outfit blunder on Gossip Girl that made my jaw drop. TikTok user skyehanamaikai was rewatching season 6, episode 4, when the camera accidentally panned down to reveal that Blake Lively was wearing a pair of sweatpants over her bodycon dress. The video now has six million views, 20 of which were mine because I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and the fact that nobody caught this before. (Remember when Twitter spotted a Starbucks cup in an episode of Game of Thrones or the Hydro Flask debacle in Little Women? This is like that.)

In the episode, Serena crashes a speed-dating round that Georgina set up for Dan wearing a neon orange bodycon dress by Roland Mouret. She accessorized with a snakeskin-print bag by Fendi and a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti high-heels. Her entire outfit screams high-fashion, which is why we were shocked to see her wearing a pair of sweatpants pulled down to her thighs. The outfit mishap probably happened because the scene was supposed to be shot from the waist up, so Blake assumed she could get away with being a little more comfortable behind-the-scenes. After all, she was often seen in sweats and UGG boots while filming the show. Keep reading to see the mistake documented on TikTok and take a look back at Blake wearing sweats on set, ahead.

Selena Gomez Has No Shame Jamming Out on TikTok, and I Have No Shame Buying Her T-Shirt

Why would Selena Gomez feel any shame in jamming out to her new Rare album on TikTok? I'd probably do the same thing if I had her incredible voice, along with her incredible crew of fans (aka Selenators) liking and commenting up a storm. But Selena also has noteworthy stay-home style, as proven by this look, which is - YUP! - accessorized with a hairbrush microphone. I have one of those too, Selena.

Selena wore her Sunset Long Sleeve Tee tucked into a pair of light-wash, high-waist mom jeans and swayed back and forth to "Vulnerable," and we're totally feeling the vibes she's sending out. Let me also just mention that her bangs, which are fairly new, look so friggin' good. I can tell you one thing, I definitely don't look this cute while attempting to sing into my hairbrush microphone - although that's probably because most of my efforts happen in the shower. I digress.

After spotting Selena in her long-sleeve tee on TikTok, I couldn't help but check out the rest of her merch, which she did give us a sneak peek of in London back in December. It's safe to say I'm obsessed with the graphics on her long-sleeve tees specifically, and while you can't shop the multicolor white one she's wearing in her TikTok video, I'm even more inclined to pick up the bright yellow "Dance Again" version that you'll find after the jump.

Converse Dropped Tie-Dye Sneakers So Cool, Lizzie McGuire Would Totally Buy Them

My jaw is chilling on the floor right now, because I just discovered these brand-new Converse Twisted Vacation Chuck Taylor All Star High-Top Sneakers ($60). These shoes are straight-up magical with their tie-die design. I want to wear them to in my apartment, on long walks, to the grocery store - I want them glued to my feet. Converse rarely releases such playful designs, so I predict these fun kicks will sell out in a matter of days.

Besides being pretty to look at, the shoes are also quite comfy. Read on to check out every detail of these playful sneakers, then treat yourself to a pair. Don't hesitate, because I can predict the future, and I know the shop page will read "out of stock" soon enough.

Hailey Bieber's "Best Tank" Is a WFH Staple, and It's Actually Affordable

It's no secret Hailey Bieber is a fan of comfy fits. From living in Drew sweatshirts to her adorable gingham PJs, the model loves her loungewear, so we know she's one to trust when it comes to cozy pieces. Hailey recently posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories in which she's wearing a flattering cropped tank. She gave a shoutout to celebrity stylist Karla Welch and her label, x karla, for the "best tank."

Her classic ribbed tank is everything you want in a basic: sexy, comfortable, and super versatile. And luckily, you can buy it for yourself. Shop the classic in three different colorways below.

19 Stylish Dresses From Old Navy That Are Super Flattering

There's a lot that goes into finding a stylish dress. Fit is probably the most important thing to keep in mind while shopping. We want the clothing to sit nicely and for it to feel good when we move around. From there, shopping for stylish dresses becomes even more fun. We get to play around with textures, prints, and silhouettes, and right now, Old Navy has so many fashionable dresses that it's hard to narrow down our favorites. From easy-breezy maxis to fit-and-flare dresses that offer a dynamic fit, we're highlighting our top 19 must haves.

I'm Ready to Trade in My Sweats For These $10 Denim Shorts

I've learned the hard way that if I don't jump on a good deal the moment I see it, it's probably going to disappear quickly. So if you, like me, have been dreaming of maybe retiring your cute loungewear (temporarily, of course) and putting together chic outfits like oversized boyfriend blazers with casual t-shirts and bermuda denim shorts, you're going to LOVE this little bit of intel. Not only does Old Navy have a number of cute bermuda options, but our absolute favorite pair is only $10 right now. They have a little distressed hem and would look great with a sharp blazer you already have in your closet. Jump on this deal and check out the shorts that'll instantly make you happy you bought 'em.

These Style Staples Help Nurses Get Through 12-Hour Shifts

When it comes to style, nurses know this to be true: bravery sometimes takes the form of a cheerful pair of socks. When you're afforded few aesthetic freedoms at work, flashing a peek of playful style under scrubs can be a small act of defiance. Even in the face of a global pandemic, an alarming lack of protective gear, and overwhelming uncertainty, nurses forge ahead - with rainbow socks and patterned orthotics at the ready.

Of course, the nurses we spoke with said much of what they wear to work is rooted in functionality. Underwear has to feel comfortable nine hours into a 12-hour shift. Sports bras have to be supportive enough to sprint securely up and down long hospital hallways without leaving painful indents on skin. And if you've ever wondered about the benefits of a good compression sock . . . just ask a nurse.

Ahead, caregivers from around the country give us the lowdown on the fun and functional pieces they rely on day in and day out.

How to Successfully Sell Your Clothes on Poshmark, According to 3 Top Sellers Who've Made Almost $50K

If you've ever shopped on Poshmark, you're keenly aware of the endless treasure troves that are sellers' pages. The social marketplace is great for hunting down a cult-loved item that's otherwise sold out everywhere as well as finding deals on popular brands like Lululemon, Free People, and Anthropologie. Beyond shopping, selling on Poshmark is a whole other world. You may have created a profile and sold an item or two for some extra cash after cleaning out your closet. But others are building a full-time business out of their Poshmark pages, and they're lucrative ones at that. After speaking to three of the marketplace's top sellers, we learned that running a Poshmark page can be quite an art form, requiring more than just a few preloved pieces from your personal wardrobe.

If you have ever wondered what it takes to sell on Poshmark, have a profile and want to level up your page, or are curious about how top sellers run their pages, keep scrolling for tips and tricks to selling on Poshmark from full-time seller Regina Barbour (@basicposhbabe) and part-time sellers Aleah Mazyck (@themazyckbtq) and Brooke Flores (@resaleovrretail). Collectively, these three have earned more than $40,000 in net earnings, so it's safe to assume their advice is sage. Once you've taken in their tips, you might want to peruse the items selling best on resale sites right now to shape your page and earn top dollar.

The Never Have I Ever Cast Did a TikTok Dance and Reminded Us How Much We Miss Tank Dresses

ICYMI: Mindy Kaling has a new Netflix show called Never Have I Ever, and the cast already did an amazing TikTok dance in a wardrobe staple we totally forgot about. Mindy posted a video of the girls dancing to Mad Circuit's "My Fit" in matching tank dresses - remember those? The show, which is quickly becoming everyone's new TV obsession, is executive produced by Mindy and loosely based on her life. It centers on a first-generation Indian-American girl named Devi (played by newcomer Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) as she navigates the struggles of boys, high school, boys, and everything in between.

In the TikTok dance, Maitreyi joined castmates Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young wearing bright red tank dresses paired with white sneakers. They later switched into a light blue iteration of the same dress. Both outfits had me reminiscing of the early aughts when Britney Spears and Paris Hilton wore the style on the regular - I honestly forgot what a classic look this is! Keep reading to see them crush the TikTok dance and get a closer look at their dresses. I've also included a couple of affordable shopping picks in case you want to give the outfit a try.

Kylie Jenner Reveals the New Skims, and OMG, We're All Gunna Look Like Teddy Bears

Kylie Jenner posted an Instagram of herself modeling Kim Kardashian's new Skims Cozy Collection, which is currently, like, our favorite outfit ever. But man, the curious case of the Kardashian-Jenners and their sisterly bond. It seems like Kylie totally got away with revealing this new teddy-bear brown colorway to the world. "Oops not supposed to be showing you guys the new cozy skims," she wrote.

But Kim seemed to be excited that Kylie broke the news to the world - yes, new shades are coming! - "KYLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You look bomb!" she commented. So, was this planned? Kim could've teased the new sets herself, but she obviously sent this co-ord to Kylie to try out instead - and it's not the only new look Kylie revealed. If you took the time to scroll through Kylie's Instagram Story, you'd have spotted her in a gray fuzzy crop top, too. So, yes, Kylie is definitely spilling the beans with or without Kim's permission.

Kendall Jenner also submitted her Vogue postcard from home in the all-white version of the Cozy Collection outfit, proving that Skims are simply becoming the family's new uniform across the board. If you're a fan of the line like we are, we recommend keeping your eyes peeled for another Kylie outfit change, because that's what she's here for. We'll do our best to let you know when Kim adds the new designs to her site, because that's what we're here for.

Kerry Washington's Little Fires Everywhere Sweatshirt Proves She's BFFs With the Cast

Kerry Washington is sending out a message to the Little Fires Everywhere cast with her adorable sweatshirt. Clearly, after developing a strong bond with Lexi Underwood, who plays her daughter, Pearl, in the show, Kerry misses working with her entire team and somehow got her hands on the most amazing sweatshirt ever to pay respect. "It's only been a week but I already miss this clique. My heroes. All episodes of #LittleFiresEverywhere now streaming on @hulu!!!" Kerry wrote underneath a photo of herself posing in the oversize throw-over, jeans, a long gold pendant necklace, and hoop earrings. "Miss you too @kerrywashington," Lexi wrote underneath a repost of the actress's Instagram on her own Stories.

While we're not 100 percent certain where Washington scored such a necessary top, there are a lot of Etsy shops selling similar tees in honor of the show, and we're definitely here for them. We also have to mention the fact that the graphic sweatshirt is in fitting with Mia Warren's signature cool, casual '90s style in the show, so Kerry appears to be taking her character with her off-screen, too. If you haven't yet watched all the episodes on Hulu, we highly recommend streaming them now (or perhaps starting with the book that inspired the miniseries). After all, when awesome merch like this is the result of a positive filming experience, the performances have got to be pretty darn impressive. Spoiler: they are!

Normal People: After Cancelling Summer Plans, I'm Living Through Marianne's Vacation Style

There are pieces of Hulu's Normal People that will stick with you long after the show ends: Marianne and Connell's tumultuous love story, of course, but also the romantic soundtrack, the picturesque setting, and yes, the style. As someone who recently cancelled summer plans abroad, my eyes zeroed in on every piece of Marianne's wardrobe during her holiday in Italy.

When Connell reunites with Marianne (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) over their summer break, she's wearing a simple gingham shift dress with a floral design. Light, airy dresses, denim skirts, and sleeveless tops aren't earth-shattering fashion choices, but as I spend multiple days in the same sweatshirts and leggings, I feel nostalgic for the joy of packing a bag with carefully chosen items. Obviously, there are more pressing issues right now than the Madewell dress I ordered in February, but I allowed myself a little bit of envy (and a lot of aspiration) when I saw Marianne at her Trieste home for the first time. My summer may not look like Marianne's but damn my wardrobe still can.

Marianne's easy and carefree summer style - courtesy of costume designer Lorna Marie Mugan - reminds me of the things I can control as my own plans get upended. I don't need a getaway to wear my favorite linen dress. I can easily make excuses to trade my sneakers for sandals on my walks around the neighborhood. My suitcase may remain empty for the foreseeable future, but I can still find excuses to dress like I'm summering in Italy - even if I'm just soaking up the sun through my fifth-story apartment window.

These Leather Loafers Are Comfy Enough to Wear in the House (Plus, They're on Sale!)

When it comes to shoe trends that offer sharp style and tons of comfort, it's hard to beat driving shoes. The shoes have recognizable rubber grommet-like soles that were originally designed to offer more grip while driving, but these easygoing slip-ons have a more practical purpose in our daily lives - they look like a slipper but are meant to be worn outside. If that doesn't sound like just the thing to go with our loungewear vibes, we don't know what does! Old Navy just introduced a driving-inspired slip-on shoe in four colors, and we might have to get all of them!

The Hadid Sisters Did a Farm Photoshoot, and We're Obsessed With Gigi's Cowgirl Boots

Like the rest of the world, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid are following social distancing protocols, but that doesn't mean they can't show off their fashionable staying home outfits. As part of Vogue's Postcards From Home series in the magazine's June/July issue, Gigi and Bella shared a few photos of themselves on their family farm in Pennsylvania, and their outfits definitely stand out against the serene background.

"We are sending love and strength to everyone, especially those who are suffering and the people on the frontlines."

Gigi, who is reportedly pregnant with her first child, wore a maroon and navy varsity jacket layered over a white denim jacket and a pair of loose-fitting work jeans. She paired the look with a chunky oversized beanie, a belt, and matching cowgirl boots. Bella opted for tan cargo pants stuffed into forest green rain boots and paired with an unbuttoned white dress shirt. Rather than completing their outfits with traditional runway accessories, the sisters turned water buckets into oversized handbags and even posed with a live cow. The tractor in the background adds an extra rustic touch.

"Being isolated has been hard for me," Bella said. "Recently, I made a conscious effort to wake up in the morning and say my mantras to get myself into a happier state of mind." Bella went on to say that she has also started tie-dying her Chrome Hearts t-shirts, which she plans to sell in hopes of donating the proceeds to single mothers across America who are struggling right now. "We are sending love and strength to everyone, especially those who are suffering and the people on the frontlines; the doctors risking their lives every day, and the paramedics and cops and people who work in grocery stores," Gigi added.

Cuyana Makes Comfy Clothes and Useful Bags, and These Are the 17 Things I Want

I first discovered Cuyana when I tried one of Meghan Markle's favorite tote bags. It's my go-to for work and, honestly, everywhere else. The more I started shopping the brand, the more I realized I wanted a little bit of everything. Its minimal, timeless aesthetic is right up my alley. If You Haven't Shopped This Cool Site Yet, These 18 Loungewear Items Will Make You a Fan

As a shopping editor, I'm always on the lookout for new brands and retailers with fresh points of view. My current favorite is Verishop, hands down. Not only does the site feature cool designers, but it also provides everyone with fast, free shipping. To put it simply, if Nordstrom and Amazon had a baby, it would totally be Verishop.

While we're all on the lookout for stylish loungewear, I curated a shopping guide of the comfiest pieces the retailer has to over. From on-trend bike shorts to oversize sweatshirts, there's something for everyone. Let's get shopping.

I'm a 2021 Bride, and I'm Dreaming of These Wedding Dresses Coming Next Year

During these rare and unprecedented times, so many brides are left scrambling, wondering whether or not it makes sense to postpone their weddings or elope. Should they cancel their wedding-dress appointments or rather schedule a virtual one? My planned wedding date is not until May 2021, but there is no denying the fact that social distancing will remain the norm for a while, and the idea of my wedding dress (a big, important detail for a lot of brides!) remains just that: an idea.

"A wedding stands for hope and trust. Two values we need now."

Some fashion houses have decided to present an extended 2021 collection in October, forgoing the release of a Spring 2021 lineup altogether. But others are slowly providing assets - Oscar de la Renta shared this sketch by artist Tamas Haizer, a sneak peek at a bridal look to come sometime soon - because dreaming is still doable.

"In this difficult time we think it's important to dream. A wedding stands for hope and trust. Two values we need now," Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren stated in their press release for the Viktor & Rolf Spring 2021 Mariage gowns, which are inspired by classical gardens.

I'm the first person to agree that a wedding ceremony is a symbol of marriage, and the marriage itself is what sticks - dresses, flowers, shoes, and cakes, these are all just details. Just the comfort of knowing that your partner will be there down the line might allow you to open your mind to the idea of dreaming about the little things - and a wedding dress is a fine place to start.

I'm already starting to get a sense of the trends that are coming for the 2021 bride. While we have yet to see so many gowns that will be released next year, these are the ones inspiring my vision as the days go on.

In Inspiring News, Tommy Hilfiger Will Donate 10,000 White T-Shirts to Healthcare Workers

Tommy Hilfiger is one of the latest designers to join in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and help healthcare workers who are on the front lines during this unprecedented time. In inspiring news, the iconic American designer is planning on donating more than 10,000 classic white T-shirts to support public health efforts in both the United States and Europe. The T-shirts will be beneficial to healthcare workers who are caring for COVID-19 patients because their personal protective equipment tends to get warm and causes them to change shirts up to three times a shift.

The designer is also planning on launching a capsule of limited-edition white T-shirts and sweatshirts, for which all proceeds will be donated to COVID-19 global relief efforts. The collection will be designed in collaboration with consumers and fans who can vote for their favorite designs on both Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans's Instagram accounts until April 30. The winning styles will be available for purchase in May on the brand's website. As for price points, the T-shirt will sell for $54 and sweatshirts will cost $109. Keep reading to get a closer look at the T-shirts that will be donated and check out Tommy's social media platforms for more updates.

10 Shoe Brands That Are Just As Popular Now as They Were in the '90s

It's been more than 20 years since the '90s came to a close, and yet we're more obsessed than ever with the decade. Our fashion has never felt more influenced by the trends that ruled so many years ago than it does now. Pretty much every look we're obsessed with lately seems to have '90s roots: baggy jeans, cute cardigans, slip dresses, tube tops, bucket hats, platforms, chunky sandals. We could keep going . . .

Today We Learned Billy Porter's Meme-Ready, Mechanical Hat Was Inspired By Billie Eilish

As the saying goes, great minds think alike - perhaps more so when they share the same name. In a recent virtual appearance on The Tonight Show, Billy Porter revealed that the inspiration behind his meme-ready, mechanical hat at the 2020 Grammys had actually been inspired by Billie Eilish.

"It came about because when we were at the American Music Awards, I was right behind Billie Eilish on the red carpet, and she was wearing this Gucci veil. It was so cute," Billy told Jimmy Fallon. (It's worth noting that Billie's veil that evening was actually by Burberry, but she would later go on to wear a Gucci face mask to the Grammys.) Though Billy loved the look, he was hesitant because, "I'm never wearing something that covers up my face. I've waited too long for this moment. Folks need to see my face."

"Somebody's gotta do it."

That's when his stylist, Sam Ratelle, offered a perfect solution: "What if the veil opened and closed electronically?" And thus, the retractible fringe hat was born from Sarah Sokol Millinery. Billy added, "Somebody's gotta do it." Watch Billy reflect on the memorable red carpet moment ahead, and then browse a few photos of both the look and its original inspiration.
