Telfar Is Restocking AOC's Coveted Red Bag Tomorrow

It looks like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is also a fan of Telfar's covetable shopping tote, which has been dubbed "the Bushwick Birkin." Telfar Clemens is the brains behind the nongendered brand, which was created in 2004. AOC carried the brand's highly sought-after bag, which was introduced in 2014. The oxblood shopping tote prominently features the brand's sleek logo embossed on the side. Sadly, when Alexandria first debuted the $257 bag it was sold out on Telfar's website, but the brand announced via Instagram that it's restocking the oxblood and yellow color ways in all three sizes tomorrow, including the exact bag the congresswoman carried.

AOC was seen carrying her bag while leaving the Capitol building in Washington D.C. after voting on a bill on the U.S. Postal Service operations. She even went on to write about the brand on her Instagram saying, "Fun fact: Telfar is now known as a globally celebrated designer, but did you know this Black, LGBTQ+ designer + founder got their start in LEFRAK CITY, QUEENS. That's right! Telfar Clemons is a HOMETOWN HERO from our district! Another NY-14 native using their talents to challenge us to question convention and imagine a different world. Our community is so proud!"

Read on to see images of AOC carrying the bag from all angles ahead, and get ready to shop your own when they restock on Telfar on Tuesday.

Gigi Hadid Brings a Whole New Meaning to Mom Jeans, and Calvin Klein Would Be Proud

Gigi Hadid is celebrating the last month of her pregnancy by sharing a maternity photo series taken by photographers Luigi and Iango, and styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who's the fashion director at Garage Magazine. The shoot took place at the end of July and featured some stunning sheer gowns that Gigi wore effortlessly, coming across as a straight-up goddess, plain and simple. But we recently found out that she also had a moment in a super-casual look, consisting of baggy jeans, rolled over to put the spotlight on her growing belly, and a white ribbed tank, ripped across the mid-section.

Gigi styled the look with wet hair and some layered gold necklaces. We can imagine her slipping into a simple outfit combo like this one after stepping out of the shower for a casual FaceTime with her sister Bella. (Sorry, this is us just trying to imagine what Gigi does on any given afternoon.) The resulting aesthetic is slick and clean, like many a Calvin Klein denim campaign we've seen in the past. In fact, if on the off chance Gigi was wearing Calvin Klein denim here, we highly suggest the brand just plaster these images up on a billboard. Scroll down for a few more glimpses of the incredible looks - they don't call her one of the world's top supermodels for nothin'! - and watch the behind-the-scenes video snippets Gigi shared too.

Was Taylor Swift's VMAs Button-Up a Nod to "The Man" Music Video? Indulge Us For a Sec

At this point, nothing Taylor Swift does is without some symbolism. In the past, fans have dissected her clothing choices and seemingly mundane photos to uncover details about, say, the theme of an upcoming album or its potential release date, and it's become a well-known game between Taylor and her Swifties. So, why would her virtual appearance at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards be any different - even if it was just a little over a minute long?

The evening earned Taylor the award for best direction, which she accepted from home while wearing a striped shirt dress from Derek Lam's contemporary diffusion line, 10 Crosby. While some fans on Twitter romantically theorized the button-up may have been borrowed from her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, it's more likely the shirt dress was a subtle nod to the very music video that earned her the award: "The Man."

Released earlier this year, the video had Taylor (dressed as a man) present the many ways men are glorified and receive unearned praise in society in an effort to illustrate the double standards women face. Her shirt dress then, which fuses together both masculine and feminine silhouettes, falls right in line with that juxtaposition. Plus, it makes for a really chic house dress.

Watch Taylor's speech, as well as "The Man" video, ahead, before browsing Taylor's exact shirt dress and similar options.

Outfit Obsession: Demi Lovato's Pouf-Sleeved Minidress Is Just the Start of Her "Full Ass Glam Moment"

Demi Lovato spent half the weekend in a ridiculously cute outfit that I want in on. The singer spent time on set with her fiancé Max Ehrich, posing in a white minidress that's from sustainable Australian label Bassike. The pouf-sleeved number is gathered at the center and has a relaxed collar with a bubble style hem that makes it perfect for vacation days or just lounging around the house. In Demi's case, it worked as the foundation of a "full ass glam moment," that she put together with the help of her team and stylist Siena Montesano.

Demi and Siena made sure to pull out all the stops to make this look feel retro. They accessorized with cherry red square-toe By Far sandals and a mixed print silk head scarf. Demi was also wearing a stunning diamond heart choker necklace from celeb jeweler Peter Marco, who Max tagged in his own selfie from their day together. Demi finalized the look with black cat-eye sunglasses and a chunky silver cuff. We can't be sure what project she and Max were working on, but we do know that whatever it is will double as a fashion moment due to Demi's outfit alone.

Scroll down for another peek at her look, then shop the essentials, including her exact dress and shoes, which are luckily still available.

Machine Gun Kelly Proved He's as Much a Fashion Icon as He Is a Rockstar at the VMAs

On Sundays, we wear pink! During the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, Machine Gun Kelly proved that he can rock the hell out of a trendy pink suit with his bright Berluti outfit. The 30-year-old artist took home his first-ever VMA for best alternative for his song "Bloody Valentine," and he did so in one seriously stylish outfit. The monochrome outfit featured pink trousers, a sleeveless turtleneck, and a matching blazer, which he draped over his shoulder while posing for pictures on the red carpet. MGK paired the bright look with Berluti loafers and a pearl necklace to tie it all together. He later changed into a royal blue one-piece while presenting the award for push best new artist.

While reflecting on the award later that night, he thanked his fans in a heartfelt post on Instagram. "Pretty much waited my entire life just to say: WE WON A F*CKING VMA!!!! 🤯🔥🙏🏼 i was flying in to pick up my fathers ashes when i got the news that we were nominated, so it was bittersweet. then i found out that it was a fan voted award and from the first day y'all were like 'we got this' and you really did it. i'm honored to share this moment with you. thank you. thank you. what the f*cking f*ck. @vmas @mtv," he wrote.

Lady Gaga Defied Gravity in an MTV T-Shirt While Posing With Her 5 Moon Person Trophies

Lady Gaga stole the show with her multiple stylish outfits and over-the-top face masks at the 2020 MTV VMAs, but it was the last outfit combination that we're still thinking about. After taking the stage in one dramatic look after another and giving an epic performance of "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande, Gaga opted for a more low-key(ish) look while posing with her five moon person trophies. In case you missed it, the singer dominated the award show by winning in the following four categories: artist of the year, song of the year, best collaboration, and best cinematography. She also became the first-ever recipient of the award show's newly invented Tricon award, which honors triple-threat icons.

While posing with her five moon person trophies, Gaga opted for a nostalgic MTV T-shirt that took us back to the '90s. Somehow there was an inexplicable wind in her hair that added an extra *dramatic* factor for the photo opp. She finished her outfit off with a pair of black platform boots that reminded us of old school Gaga. Of course, the outfit wasn't complete without a black latex face mask that had spikes and chains. Keep reading to get a closer look at the rock-and-roll look and shop some similar tees ahead.

The Ties! The Suits! The Gucci Belts! BTS Looked Dapper at the MTV VMAs

Even though BTS stuck to a pastel palette of candy-coated, retro outfits for their "Dynamite" music video, the MTV VMAs brought out next-level suave, with the K-pop group rocking dapper suits for their excellent performance that everyone was talking about. (That's probably also because the boys went home with four major honors after the show, naturally.)

The looks here involved plenty of Gucci - BTS wore the brand's blazers, vests, flared trousers, belts, boots, and earrings - and they each picked retro silk ties with plenty of personality. Obviously, their first-ever MTV VMAs gig called for something a lot less casual than what we've seen from them before, and we can't say we're not impressed that they can pull off their incredible dance moves in looks you'd see on the red carpet at a movie premiere - or, you know, on Don Draper in Mad Men.

Read ahead to watch them prove their prowess in their stylish outfits one more time, and then see some of our favorite close-ups and detail shots of their Gucci ensembles, which included most pieces from Alessandro Michele's pre-fall 2020 collection. All we know is that Harry Styles must be somewhere, nodding his head along in pure admiration of these outfits.

Miley Cyrus Looked Damn Good Riding a Glittery Disco Wrecking Ball at the 2020 VMAs

Miley Cyrus took to the MTV VMAs stage on Sunday night to perform "Midnight Sky" live for the first time, and every detail of her dazzling outfit took us straight back to 2013. In an homage to her iconic "Wrecking Ball" music video, Miley brought back the giant prop and blinged it out to resemble a massive disco ball. But the sparkling wrecking ball was definitely outshined by Miley's over-the-top outfit.

Channeling the '80s in an all-black leather look, Miley took to the stage in a sequined black vest, matching briefs, and a pair of strappy stilettos. The "Midnight Sky" singer accessorized the look with multiple layers of chunky chain-link bracelets, glittering rings on each finger, and statement necklaces in silver and gold. If you'll recall, her original "Wrecking Ball" look consisted of a white cropped tank top, white briefs, and red matte Doc Martens. While we love the grungy punk look, Miley's remixed "Wrecking Ball" outfit is where it's at.

Take a closer look at Miley's outfit and check out the difference between the original wrecking ball and the disco version here.

Every Outfit Lady Gaga Wore at the VMAs Included a Very Important Accessory: a Face Mask

Lady Gaga certainly took safety seriously (as she should) at the 2020 MTV VMAs, where the superstar took home numerous awards for "Rain on Me" and slayed an epic performance of the hit single with Ariana Grande. Every time she stepped on stage Sunday night, Gaga rocked one key accessory: a face mask.

But because she's Lady Gaga, she of course didn't wear any old mask. Each of her face coverings matched her statement-making outfits, from a moon person-inspired face shield to an electronic mask that lit up to the beat of her performance. The star said it best at the VMAs: "Stay safe, speak your mind, and I might sound like a broken record, but wear a mask. It's a sign of respect." Take a closer look at all of Gaga's fashionable face coverings at the VMAs below.

Make You Look Twice? Bella Hadid's Sheer Mesh Top Made Me Look More Times Than That

There are sexy red carpet outfits, and then there's Bella Hadid's MTV VMAs look, which includes the sultriest mesh top we've ever seen. Bella was styled by Carlos Nazario to present an award to honor Lady Gaga at the event, and the vibe was very '90s. Bella wore black pleated trousers, low-slung and slightly loose in the waist, with her off-the-shoulder Nensi Dojaka bodysuit that included a cutout right beneath the darker strip of fabric that some would say is meant to "cover up," Bella's chest - although that's a bit of a stretch since it was pretty see-through.

The supermodel completed her bold outfit with oversize gold hoop earrings, a chainlink bracelet, and chainstrap, square-toe shoes that were a no-brainer match for her jewels. Bella's hair was lifted into a cutesy, Sporty Spice-esque ponytail, and she confidently showed off her style from every angle. "VMA's🖤 Presenting a very very special award !!! This is going to be insane !!!!" Bella wrote underneath her caption on Instagram, where she shared a sneak peek of her getup with fans. Scroll down to take it all in, and see if you can think of a statement look in red carpet history that rivals Bella's in sex appeal.

Ariana Grande Took the Stage in an Iridescent Purple Crop Top and Pleated Skirt at the MTV VMAs

Ariana Grande showed us not one but two amazing MTV VMAs outfits. First, she posted a couple of close-up shots of a leather outfit that screamed Batwoman. She posed in a black leather Mugler minidress and chunky white platform heels. (Miley Cyrus also wore a Mugler gown for the award show!) The dress featured a turtleneck silhouette, long sleeves, and a pleated skirt. The skirt featured a zipper accent as an edgy touch. She ditched her iconic high half-pony for two pigtails that gave off a fun, flirty retro vibe. As for her accessories, Ariana added a pop of bling with her geometric diamond earrings by Vhernier.

Next, the singer took the stage with Lady Gaga to perform "Rain on Me" wearing a purple iridescent set. She opted for a crop top and pleated skirt set in the shimmery hue with a black face mask. She finished off her look with white chunky platform boots that had me wondering how she wasn't tripping while on stage. Keep reading to get a closer look at her performance outfit.

The MTV VMAs Red Carpet Is the Fashion Fix We've All Been Missing

The 2020 MTV VMAs, hosted by Keke Palmer, is shaping up to be quite an impressive show filled with performances and acceptance speeches - though the show isn't actually live. There was a very specific plan set in place to make the evening's event appear to be so seamless, and part of that included the red carpet. A heck of a lot of planning went into the outfits too, with celebs showing up in everything from little Mugler minidresses to extraordinary, avant-garde Area looks. (Lady Gaga's look didn't quite beat out her famous meat dress for attention, but it was capped off with her signature sky-high, towering platform shoes.)

We got the rundown on Joey King's outfit from her stylist, too, which was an instant win for her as soon as she tried it on. Also in attendance? Jaden Smith in the coolest-ever iteration of his vegan leather New Balance sneakers and Bebe Rexha, who brought attention to Black-owned fashion label Lionne Clothing in her vixen style, formfitting blazer. Scroll down to check out details on everyone's look, because we know you'll appreciate the variety of exciting fashion influences here, and then be sure to read up on how stylists have been working with their clients to bring looks like this alive during COVID-19.

In Case It Rains on Her, Lady Gaga's Intergalactic Outfit at the VMAs Has Her Covered

Lady Gaga is ready to make it rain at the 2020 MTV VMAs. The singer, who is performing her hit single "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande for the first time ever, pulled out all the stops for the virtual award show's red carpet. Gaga wore a dramatic metallic dress paired with superhigh platformed lace-up boots and a headpiece that's perfect for someone nominated for nine awards. The singer is nominated for video of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, best collaboration, best pop, best quarantine performance, best cinematography, best visual effects, and best choreography.

Gaga is no stranger to going all out for the award show – I mean, I still think about her meat-covered ensemble at the 2010 VMAs regularly - and her metallic outfit during Sunday night's show is definitely one to remember. "I was wearing face shields before it was a thing 👆🤣 #VMAs," she wrote on Instagram. Check out Lady Gaga's outfit at the 2020 MTV VMAs ahead.

Miley Cyrus Wore a Sexy, Sheer Gown With Underwear to the 2020 MTV VMAs

Let's give Miley Cyrus a round of applause because she definitely *brought it* at the 2020 MTV VMAs. The singer, who is performing "Midnight Sky," stunned in a sparkly black Mugler dress that was completely sheer. (No shocker there since she's the queen of daring MTV VMA red carpet looks.) She paired the see-through dress with matching black underwear, and the strapless number was covered with tiny silver mirrored embellishments that reflected with the camera flashes.

Miley's dress came with a pair of matching sheer gloves that featured black studs in place of the silver embellishments. As for her accessories, she styled the see-through dress with big gold hoops and a chain choker necklace. She slipped into a pair of black strappy heels to finish off her lookasewc. Keep reading to see her outfit ahead.

From Her Head to Her Toes, Keke Palmer's VMAs Outfit Is as Fresh and Cool as It Gets

Keke Palmer is the 2020 VMAs host with the most, and naturally, she has the outfits worthy of such a job. The "Snack" singer teased a few stylish options on Instagram before the big show on Aug. 30, and we're thrilled with what she ended up choosing.

She kicked off her outfit cycle for the night with a chic Tiffany blue minidress with a bow above the leg slit, which she paired with a glittering jeweled choker and embellished pumps. Get a look at Keke's first ensemble below, as we wait patiently for the rest of her looks from the night. We already know they're going to be "fresh and cool," as True Jackson VP would say.

Joey King's MTV VMAs Outfit Has Us Singing "Versace, Versace, Versace"

Um, Joey King is that you? The Kissing Booth actress showed off her 2020 MTV VMAs look ahead of Sunday's virtual awards show. She posted an Instagram gallery of herself wearing a gorgeous body-hugging Versace dress that featured a bold floral-print. The long-sleeved number was styled with two thick gold chains that were also by the designer. At one point during her pre-awards show photoshoot, she also opted to wear the dress with leggings that came in the same print.

Her stylist Jared Eng exclusively told POPSUGAR, "I knew this was the perfect look for the VMAs the moment I saw it. As someone who likes to over-prepare, I still had Joey try on options from the racks and racks of looks. Sometimes, you just never know what will surprise you! Joey's never done a look with barrettes before, so I knew this Versace look was the right moment for it. It tied in with the two necklaces so well."

Keep reading to see her outfit from all angles.

Who Is That Girl I See? It's Christina Aguilera Wearing Her Dreamy "Reflection" Gown

Christina Aguilera's gorgeous voice is guaranteed to take our breath away, but when she wears a dreamy gown, we're doubly speechless. The singer dropped a music video for her new rendition of "Reflection" from Disney's live-action Mulan on Aug. 28, and we could not take our eyes off of her Iris Van Herpen outfit.

Christina's flowing gown looked stunning mirrored across the ground as she sang the familiar Disney tune. It's so nice, you need to see it twice! The Physalia dress comes from Iris Van Herpen's Sensory Seas collection and popped up in January 2020 for Paris Fashion Week. Mmhm, Don't Mind Me Gawking at Maya Henry's $4 Million Engagement Ring From Liam Payne

Maya Henry is officially frosted, and her stunning engagement ring from Liam Payne is proof. On Aug. 28, an Us Weekly representative confirmed the couple's engagement following rumors of the news after Maya was photographed wearing a diamond ring while out to dinner with Liam in London. But I'm not here to talk about the ring so much as that gorgeous (and massive) diamond on top.

The enormous ring features a "cushion or radiant cut" diamond that weighs in at about 20 carats, CEO of WP Diamonds Andrew Brown said in a press statement. "Assuming the estimated £3 million price, the beautiful ring that Liam proposed with appears to be a cushion or radiant cut diamond ring, weighing in at around 20 carats with a VVS clarity and D color," Andrew added. In case you didn't catch that, the ring has an estimated valuation of $4 million. In addition to its impressive size, the diamond ring also has a sparkling gleam to it that we can't stop admiring. Take a closer look at Maya's truly dazzling ring ahead.

Today, we might roll our eyes at our fashion choices from the early aughts, but the truth is they define us as style savants who always managed to keep up with the trends.

We thought it'd be particularly fun to scroll through photos of our favorite Hollywood stars repping the labels we wanted to collect, too. The only difference is that celebs were walking red carpets while we were walking through the school cafeteria. No big deal.

Shop Every Epic Fashion Moment From Selena Gomez and Blackpink's "Ice Cream" Video

If you thought for a second Selena Gomez and Blackpink wouldn't pull out all the stops for their new "Ice Cream" music video, you thought very wrong. In fact, the moment the kitschy, '90s-grunge-meets-retro pin-up looks appeared on screen, we instantly wanted to go shopping. Selena wears a red-and-white striped, high-waisted Shoshanna bikini that we're crazy about, and her next look includes an '80s-inspired Puma bodysuit (Selena and her stylist Kate Young likely gave a nod to the athletic brand, as Selena's been a Puma sneaker ambassador for awhile).

Young also introduces us to Lè Rumi, an affordable label that's responsible for that adorable yellow-and-white gingham romper we see Selena in, styled with a satin printed headscarf and rainbow HVN hoops. And that polka-dot crop top you wish you had in your closet all summer? It's on sale right now at For Love & Lemons. Meanwhile, Lisa, Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo from Blackpink slip into crochet pieces from a groovy brand called Fluffy, cropped sweaters, and they wear Chanel accessories to boot.

Ahead, we're breaking down each and every stylish moment, then shopping out some of the identical pieces the girls wear, along with similar options from the labels they're showering with love. P.S. In case you didn't know, Selena also teamed up with Serendipity on a new ice cream flavor called Cookies & Cream Remix, and we're thinking a pint of that would look pretty good as an accessory to any of these outfits.

J Lo's Joins Her Kids For Coach's New Campaign, and Oh! My Heart

Jennifer Lopez has two little models on her hands from the looks of her new Coach campaign. The singer, who has been a brand ambassador for awhile now, joined her kids Emme and Max Muñiz in the new Coach campaign called "Coach Family." Jennifer's mother, Guadalupe Lopez, also made an appearance in one of the campaign shots. Emme and Max looked stylishly adorable in green and brown leather jackets, while J Lo wears two different looks in the images. First, she wore a yellow sweater with a matching leather skirt and a colorful fuzzy jacket. Then, while hanging around a dinner table, Jennifer swapped the yellow sweater for one with a polar bear on it.

Jennifer also posted a fun behind-the-scenes look at the campaign in a video on Instagram. In the video, J Lo held onto a tire swing while Billie Eilish's "Everything I Wanted" played in the background. As the video continued, the camera panned down to show that both of her children were joining her in the campaign as well. Talk about making an entrance! Hunter Schafer Talks Fashion and Defying "Cisgendered Standards" of Beauty on Euphoria

While we're all still waiting for the second season of Euphoria to drop, Hunter Schafer and costume designer Heidi Bivens teamed up for a video to discuss the stories behind our favorite looks. In the conversation, the pair discussed the close collaboration between Heidi and the actors, as well as the process for sourcing clothing, which Heidi says was at least 50 percent vintage for the women cast. Hunter, who was actually preparing to go to fashion school before snagging her role on the HBO series, often worked with Heidi to customize and perfect her character Jules's style.

Heidi explained that she saw Euphoria, which was recently nominated for an Emmy for its outstanding contemporary costumes, as an important opportunity to "portray young people in a way that hadn't been seen before," and worked closely with Hunter, Zendaya, and Alexa Demie to curate their characters' looks in a real way. More specifically, she discussed collaborating with Hunter to find intimate garments that the transgender actress felt comfortable wearing.

"There's a lot of power in seeing a young trans girl not trying to conform to a cisgendered standard in that way."

"I think it's so special to take into account the actor's opinion, at least with a show like this, where some actors have bodies that aren't necessarily the 'norm,'" Hunter said. "And also particularly because we were going to be seeing Jules in her underwear, and I had been thinking about whether or not I wanted to be tucked for some of the shots. . . There's a lot of power in seeing a young trans girl not trying to conform to a cisgendered standard in that way."

The costume designer added that when she was sourcing clothing for season one of the show, she could only find one designer who was making "the kind of intimate garments [she] wanted," but while prepping for season two, she felt it was much easier to gather the items she needed. "So we're evolving as humans," she said. Watch their conversation in full above and look back on the first season's incredible style moments.

I bet you can't think about Clueless without thinking about Cher Horowitz's yellow plaid skirt suit. Decades later, we're all still talking about it - and still dressing up in it. And that, friends, is the definition of an iconic look. In a new video with Vogue, Alicia Silverstone shared the details behind the movie's most memorable costume, despite the fact that, as she reveals in the interview, she wore a whopping 64 looks in the movie.

Alicia described the choice costume designer Mona May made selecting the yellow suit for that first glimpse of Cher walking her high school campus. Complete with a cardigan, white knee-highs, and white patent Mary Janes, the yellow Dolce & Gabbana plaid skirt and blazer is a "nod to a schoolgirl uniform, but in an elevated, chic, very high-fashion way." It also works to immediately set the tone for the movie and transport you to Cher's world, because, as Alicia notes, "it's so absurd . . . because that's not how kids dress to go to school. It's just not, but somehow it just feels right and it works."

Reflecting on the iconic style moment, Alicia recalled that there were two different-colored outfits in the running for this important scene, but the sunshine-yellow beat out a red-and-blue version of the same look. The result is an ensemble that both borrows from the grunge style moment that was happening in the early '90s - and all around Cher at school - but is also a stark contrast. And while Alicia did get real about her frustrations with the many, many fittings required of her on set (don't worry, she's not totally buggin'), she was also quick to acknowledge how much they mattered: "The clothes are everything. The clothes are the star of the film." Twenty-five years later, and we can hardly disagree.

Fall's Biggest Color Trends Are So Fun to Wear, We Can't Be Bothered With Black

It's not that we don't love an all-black outfit; one of those can certainly help us achieve a mood when necessary. But when Fall's seven biggest colors involve impactful jewel tones and good ol' hot pink, we're less thrilled about putting on clothes that are so much more mundane. So, what palette should you stick to? This season, we're seeing burgundy, mustard, and electric blue bubble up for those of you who like a high-impact look. But these shades are balanced out by subtler hues, including camel, soft sage, and lilac, so there's really something in the mix for everyone.

Finally, hot pink has a strong presence no matter where you look. So while it may seem like the odd one out, give it a chance and it might just brighten up your Wednesday. (JK, you're totally allowed to wear pink on other days of the week, too.) After all, with all the pouf-sleeved poplin house dresses we're seeing in the high-spirited colorway, there couldn't be a better hot-ticket item to invest in if you really want to make a vibrant statement while also showing that you're in the know when it comes to the color wheel. Ahead, we show you exactly which tints we're shopping for so you can follow suit.

I Keep Scrolling Past House Dresses on Instagram, and Hey, I Want In on This Trend

The term "house dress" originated in the late 19th century and gained popularity in the early 20th century, and described a frock designated for doing chores around the house or running errands. It was by no means presentable enough to travel in or wear to a function; but in the 1950s, these became progressively more stylish. House dresses were part of the daily uniform, many coming as part of a set with matching aprons or gloves, in floral and gingham prints, or with pockets.

But in 2020, all the house dress really means to me is something functional, yet romantic that is also comfortable (think: poplin or linen fabric in loose silhouettes or a breezy shirtdress). These dresses also have details like pouf sleeves, embroidery, or frilled skirts that make them stylish enough on their own without even a pair of shoes. I don't want to say they were made for your next stay-at-home photo shoot, but I mean, weren't they?

At its core, the house dress is just the laid-back, lovable look you reach for when you're tired of your sweats and you want to dress up a little bit. The style is even being referred to as the "house dress" by some of our favorite brands and leaders in fashion, and at least one pops up on my Instagram feed every day - so that's how you know it's a trend.

I've been sifting through my wardrobe in search of my own house dress, and though I did find one peach midi with a removable tie-sash waist and balloon sleeves from Zara, I can't say I'm not interested in the new iterations that are available. Ahead, check out the vibes of this 2020 house dress I speak of, and then shop a few of my personal favorites - all of which can easily be worn with a pair of slides or chunky sneakers later on.

Becky G’s Affordable Sunglasses Are For Everyone, Because “Sharing Is Caring”

Becky G is collaborating with Dime Optics for a collection of affordable sunglasses, and we got to chat with the singer about the exciting news! The collection is now available, and each style retails for $30. In the past, Dime Optics has collaborated with celebs like Anastasia Karanikolaou (aka Kylie Jenner's BFF.)

Becky's collection includes a variety of fun, oversize frames with polarized and blue-light lenses. When asked about designing the collection, Becky revealed, "I wanted the collection to be for everyone. I think a big part of my Latina culture is [the concept of] sharing is caring. The more you can share, the better, and I felt like having something that isn't just exclusive to one group of individuals was important. I want everyone to participate and feel empowered by these awesome frames that we created . . . When I look at my fans, we have everyone from the abuelitos to little babies. Going back to my culture, the idea of sharing and something being for everyone is so important to me. I think music already is like that, it's a universal language, and I feel like fashion is another way for self-expression. To be able to create something that would allow my fans to express themselves is so unique in its own way."

POPSUGAR: What is your favorite pair from the collection?
Becky G: I like to call these [the black oversize sunglasses] the 'look at me but don't look at me' frames. They go with everything – I can wear them with sweats or a little black dress. I have a petite face, so I love oversized frames. If you have a bold lip and then throw these on, you literally don't have to put anything else on your face. I love them for the airport, when I'm on the road, or even going to the grocery store.

PS: Have your friends or family tested them out? What's their go-to pair?
BG: My mom likes to think she's Becky G sometimes, so she's totally rocking all of them. [laughs] We did a fitting while creating the collection – because we went through so many different options, shades, and colors – so we had my brothers try them on to see what really works for everyone. My boyfriend, Sebastian [Lletget], too. He loves a good aviator, so he's very excited about those.

PS: Any piece you just *had* to have in the collection?
BG: The Dime blue-light lenses in silver.

PS: With all the changes in the industry right now, what are you most excited about looking at the future of fashion?
BG: I think really good things are going to come from this, even though it's hard to see what that looks like. As an artist, I've been personally inspired, and I think many more incredible artists will be inspired coming out of what we consider very dark times. Whether it's in fashion, beauty, music, or film, thinking outside the box is important. Now more than ever, we're rising to the occasion and learning that.

PS: What's been your favorite outfit to feel a sense of normalcy while sheltering in place?"
BG: Just throwing on a pair of jeans! While we were shooting this campaign, it was the first time during the entire quarantine when I had thrown on a pair of jeans. I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I miss wearing jeans! Oh my god, I missed that feeling! It made me feel like we were having somewhat of a normal day – even though the whole world is so far from normal.
