Riverdale Season 5 Brings Us Prom Dresses, Cute Cardigans, and Sweet Sets to Shop Now
The ever-changing storylines of The CW's Riverdale are intriguing enough, but what brings us back week after week is the fashion sense of main characters Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan). The start of season five brings us through the characters' final days of their senior year of high school and graces us with amazing prom outfits - plus the prospect of an upcoming graduation ceremony.
Veronica's style has always been more sophisticated and elegant compared to the other characters, incorporating more intricate textures such as velvet, jacquard, and metallics. Her dresses tend to be from higher-end designers, such as Alice + Olivia and Attico. Betty. stays true to her girl-next-door style, with sweet and playful looks from the likes of Miu Miu, Valentino, Chloé, Derek Lam, along with more affordable brands like Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Aritzia, ModCloth, and Forever 21. Toni's style stands out, as she expresses herself with a more edgy, confident look (see: that Sherri Hill two-piece she wears to prom, which is pretty much the epitome of her aesthetic). Finally, Cheryl always appears fierce, bright, and a little bit intimidating. Her outfits easily convey her mood; she opts for red when she's in control and wears cooler tones when vulnerable.
But these final days of high school may lead us to the end of the characters' fashion sense as we know it. With a predicted seven-year jump coming our way this season, it will be interesting to see how wardrobes are adjusted for young adulthood. For now, we're tapping our friends at ShopYourTv, who scour the internet after each episode airs, researching outfits and providing expertise for your Riverdale fashion inspiration. Read ahead to see some of our personal favorites, and shop the clothing (plus inspired styles!) still available.
Does It Get Any Cuter Than John Krasinski Repping His Daughters' Initials on SNL? Not Quite
Image Source: Will Heath / NBC
John Krasinski saved the best outfit for last during his Saturday Night Live hosting gig. After wearing a dapper green suit for his surprise-filled opening monologue (ICYMI, he casually smooched Pete Davidson) and wearing nothing but a white tank top for a slightly disturbing Ratatouille-themed skit (seriously, consider yourself warned), the actor changed into a sentimental shirt that has our hearts melting into a big ol' pile of mush.
For his final thank yous and goodbyes alongside musical guest Machine Gun Kelly, John subtly repped his two daughters, Hazel and Violet, on a monogrammed long-sleeved shirt. His navy Boglioli top featured "H + V" in white font right over his heart, proving he's a proud girl dad. Stylist Ilaria Urbinati coordinated the sweet shirt with patterned Missoni pants, an IWC watch, a black face mask, and shiny black shoes.
Watch John's SNL farewell in full ahead to see his adorable shirt in action - and to see Pete Davidson tackle Machine Gun Kelly for the world's most dramatic hug ever.
Thank you, @johnkrasinski and @machinegunkelly!

Megan Thee Stallion's Groovy Dior Bag Has a Secret Message Written on the Bottom
Megan Thee Stallion has been "Dior'd." The "Body" singer posted a series of photos on Instagram showing off her colorful Dior Lady Bag. Megan wore a long-sleeved rainbow crop top and body-hugging pants, which matched her groovy handbag and red hair. While posing in the photos, we got to see the bottom of her bag and realized there was actually something etched onto the bottom of the bag! The iridescent bag had "Let It All Hang Out, 2020" written on it. It also said "Based on a painting by Judy Chicago, 1973" underneath the saying. How cool is that?
If you're wondering how much a bag like that would go for, hold on to your seat. Megan's limited-edition bag is from the brand's collaboration with Judy Chicago and is still available for $8,500. According to the brand's website, the medium Lady Dior bag "combines the feminist art founder's emblematic vision with the house's unique craftsmanship." It's created with technical material and embellished with an iridescent-effect dichroic treatment and completed with tonal metal hallmark "D.I.O.R." charms.
The Queens of RuPaul's Drag Race Redefine the Meaning of a Statement Clutch With Their Coach Bags
RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 came with the extravaganza that was The Bag Ball, where the queens were tasked to come up with three different runway looks, all of which were inspired by creative interpretations of the word "bag." Round two, "Miss Money Bags," just so happened to incorporate Coach's oversize Tabby clutch, and all the looks were meant to have a touch of executive realness to them.
We saw that channeled in a handful of different ways - Rosé paid homage to an '80s Bette Midler in Big Business with the help of a naturally tanned dyed satchel and "1988" hardware, whereas Denali kicked things off toting a cherry red Tabby to go with her Cruella de Vil fashion editor look. The Coach bags were, of course, customized to each queen's liking, and creative director Stuart Vevers even posed with one at his "pin station" in the studio, saluting the contestants as they dreamed up their own accessories with all the proper finishings.
While you can score your own Tabby for $495, it's pretty safe to say yours couldn't possibly measure up to the incredible iterations we saw on RuPaul's Drag Race. Watch the full competition above, and heads up that the Coach purses hit the runway at about five minutes in. Don't worry, you'll hardly need to keep your eyes peeled for these kitschy-cool creations.
9 Gender-Neutral Clothing Brands We'll Be Wearing All 2021
Over the past year, we've all come to understand and appreciate the importance of cozy, comfortable clothes, especially when most of our days consist of Zoom calls, multiple cups of coffee, and a few leisure walks around the corner. Now more than ever, brands are making it a point to produce clothing that not only speaks to our daily activities, but also to the fact that no one's interested in binary concepts that dictate what certain genders can or should wear. Thankfully, as we continue working together to tear down these divisive and antiquated social constructs, brands are stepping up to the plate and forming their entire concept around inclusivity. We've rounded up nine of our favorite labels - many of which are also sustainable - that give off chic loungewear vibes, but more importantly, remind us that these pieces do, in fact, belong in everyone's wardrobe.

BTS offered up their pastel-colored ensembles, which are pretty much a dream. The bidding will take place on Jan. 29, 2021, in Beverly Hills, and online at juliensauctions.com.
