Simone Biles Has the Best Styling Hack For Wearing Cutoffs in the Fall

Ever the jet-setter, Simone Biles is currently enjoying an end-of-summer trip to Mexico City, where she appears to be on a trip mixed with both work and pleasure. Though it's not yet clear what job has taken her south of the US-Mexico border, she posted about her enthusiasm for the adventure. With a snap on Instagram, where she's standing in front of a line of cacti, she writes, "when mexico city calls for work, you go."

In the photo, Biles kept her summertime wardrobe going strong, rocking one of the go-to looks of the season: a trusty crop-top and denim-shorts combination. In the pic, she's standing with green cacti in front of a bright-red wall that reads "México Mi Amor." Wardrobe-wise, Biles styled a pair of distressed jean shorts with a black spaghetti-strap crop top that looks straight out of the early 2000s. For a little bit more coverage, the Olympian tossed a white button-down over her shoulders, a popular trend we've been seeing more frequently on her lately. Not to mention, this layering trick helps you transition all your crop-top-and-shorts pairings into the cooler fall months. Biles finished off the denim-shorts look with a pair of bright-white sneakers, another sporty addition she's had in regular rotation.

The 25-year-old is fresh off of her Turks and Caicos vacation, where she stepped out in a host of colorful bikinis, including her bright-green string style that she shared on Instagram just before the holiday weekend. Biles also sported a similar look to this most recent one toward the end of June when she slipped into jean shorts, a white crop top, and a plaid flannel shirt layered over.

Though summer may be winding down, Biles's arsenal of style inspiration will keep fashionistas inspired well into the fall. From date-night ensembles to poolside outfits, she will find creative ways to transition her summer staples into the next season and beyond.

Kim Kardashian Rocks a Jockstrap on Her Latest Magazine Cover

Kim Kardashian put on quite the show for Interview magazine. Eight years after her viral, bum-baring Paper magazine cover was revealed to the world, the Skims founder now fronts the September 2022 "American Dream" issue in a jockstrap. She wears the cheeky design with a blue leather denim look by Bottega Veneta, consisting of a jacket and loose-fitting jeans pulled down low enough to reveal her derrière. The matching set recently debuted on Bottega Veneta's fall 2022 catwalk, imagined by newly appointed creative director Matthieu Blazy.

Kardashian's platinum-blond hair is matched to her bleached eyebrows, and her rosy cheeks and lips finish off the beauty look. Behind her, the American flag serves as a complementary backdrop. Additional images from the shoot, taken by Nadia Lee Cohen, feature the business mogul in several other pieces that reflect the Americana theme. In one shot, she wears a white tank top and baggy jeans by Bottega Veneta. In another image, she models a red latex bodysuit by Norma Kamali with a black spiked Gucci choker. She also poses in a thong printed with the US flag and a black leather jacket by Saint Laurent.

When asked about sporting the white jockstrap for the cover, Kardashian told Editor in Chief Mel Ottenberg, "Oh my god. I loved it. The team was like, 'No jockstrap.' And I'm like, 'Come on. This is what I do.' I do best when I'm ignoring them and doing what I want. So, I'm glad we did it." During her interview, the 41-year-old star opened up about the state of the country, her career plans, and her personal style (which is currently marked by a series of popular Balenciaga ensembles and accessories). She is also the face of Balenciaga's latest campaign, for which she models a backless blue cutout gown and a flower-printed midi dress.

Ahead, see all the Interview photos, as well as behind-the-scenes content shared on Kardashian's Instagram Story.

Billie Eilish Embraces '90s Logomania in a Sheer, Long-Sleeved Top

If you're looking to switch up your eyewear rotation for fall, turn to Billie Eilish, who's just been tapped as the new face of Gucci eyewear. The brand debuted its It girl on Instagram, sharing a short video clip that the label describes as "taking us on a dreamlike journey through the Hollywood Hills in a nod to film noir."

Creative director Alessandro Michele, photographer Harley Weir, and art director Lina Kutsovskaya are the visionaries behind the video, which features not one but two versions of the superstar. In one frame, Eilish is seen driving a vintage pink car. Then, she's driving another vintage automobile, this time bright blue. Up until the very end, viewers are left to wonder whether they're watching a scenic drive or a car chase. In the final frame, Eilish sits in the driver's seat of both vehicles, and the scenes are merged together. Both Eilishes come together at last, as one looks at the other and says, "I love you."

Naturally, both personas are wearing Gucci sunglasses: the blue-car Eilish wears oversize black aviator styles, while her pink alter ego sports retro-inspired, rose-colored cat eyes. You can shop the black here and the pink here or the full eyewear collection here on the brand's website. The noir-esque imagery matched with the design house's latest release of sunglasses. In a press release, Gucci said, "Reinterpreting the House's timeless aesthetic, the eyewear styles perfectly reflect the alluring and cinematic mood of the campaign, becoming part of an intriguing plot ready to be unraveled by the viewer."

Beyond the aviator sunglasses, Eilish also wore an equally dark-black jacket reminiscent of a Members Only topper from the 1980s. And to complement the retro cat-eye sunglasses, Eilish chose a head scarf and a top that's completely sheer except for an all-over black logo print reminiscent of the '90s logomania trend. The campaign also features the singer in a third look consisting of similar black aviator-style sunglasses and a black blazer top with tulle cuffs.

It was only a matter of time before Eilish was chosen to star in a Gucci campaign. A longtime supporter of the brand, she's often dressed in head-to-toe Gucci for public appearances. At her first-ever Grammys appearance in 2020, she stepped out in a black-and-lime-green two-piece Gucci logo look that matched her two-toned hair. She also chose a logo-printed blue-and-red tracksuit from the design house in 2020 at the Universal Grammys afterparty. The year prior, for the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala, she opted for custom printed Gucci silk pajamas. She even rocked a printed oversize scarf during the height of the pandemic, sharing the look on Instagram in September 2020. And, most recently, the 20-year-old slipped into a sultry sheer top and lace bra, paired with an equally sheer lace skirt from Gucci at the 2021 LACMA Art + Film Gala.

What's next for Eilish and Gucci? A few more red carpet looks are a likelihood, as are more cinematic collaborations. Below, check out the snapshots from their latest campaign.

Florence Pugh's Sheer Dress Brings Drama to the "Don't Worry Darling" Red Carpet

Florence Pugh made a dramatic entrance in Valentino Haute Couture at the "Don't Worry Darling" red carpet premiere during the Venice Film Festival on Monday, Sept. 5. The Oscar-nominated star, who plays Alice Chambers in the much-anticipated film, chose a look from the Parisian fashion house's fall/winter '22/'23 collection, titled "The Beginning."

Pugh showed off every angle of her sheer, corseted tulle dress, completed with poufy elbow-length sleeves, a floor-sweeping train, a front slit, and silver sequins that played up the shine of her Tiffany & Co. diamonds. She bared a hint of shapewear as she strutted across the carpet, including high-waisted hot pants and a strapless bralette. Pugh capped off the ensemble with what was perhaps the most eye-catching accessory of all: pointed-toe patent pumps with bow-adorned ankle straps and wispy black feathers that climbed to midshin. The leggy moment, styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, made waves as the actor posed with her grandmother for the cameras.

The star-studded cast also brought out some stunning Gucci looks, including brand muse Harry Styles's oversize pointed collar, expertly pressed atop a blue double-breasted blazer. Director Olivia Wilde also chose Gucci for the premiere, wearing a plunging yellow gown dripping with crystal chains. Creative Director Alessandro Michele, who also outfitted Jeremy O. Harris for the event, attended the premiere as well, bringing his impact full circle.

Meanwhile, Gemma Chan wore a gold metallic Louis Vuitton column dress with an architectural halter neckline and floral appliqué at the hem. Emerging actress Sydney Chandler showed off a sultry silhouette from Saint Laurent, and Chris Pine finished his brown Ralph Lauren suit with Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

Meghan Markle's Head-to-Toe Red Look Is Entirely Made From Sustainable Materials

Meghan Markle has landed in the UK for an important occasion: the One Young World Summit in Manchester. After promoting her new "Archetypes" podcast in a series of stylish looks on Sept. 5, the Duchess of Sussex attended the summit's opening ceremony alongside Prince Harry, delivering a keynote speech that exuded power.

Made from entirely sustainable and ethically sourced materials, Markle's collarless bow blouse and matching straight-leg wool trousers are both from Another Tomorrow, a New York womenswear label described as "sustainable, ethical, from farm to fabric to atelier." Embracing the bright cherry-red hue from head to toe, she finished the set with suede T-strap pumps from Aquazzura and gold Tabayer earrings. Prince Harry supported Markle at the event, looking sharp in a navy-blue suit.

Markle headed to the Invictus Games Dusseldorf's One Year to Go event in Germany shortly after, wearing a white halter sweater and tan culottes. She's known to love a monochromatic look, having mastered tonal dressing long before she became a royal. More recently, she also wore an all-white look that included a subtle nod to Princess Diana at the National Service of Thanksgiving and another white power suit for the 2022 Invictus Games in April.

Prior to her Another Tomorrow ensemble, the Duchess of Sussex has championed a number of sustainable fashion brands over the years. She famously wore a Stella McCartney dress on her wedding day, as well as for numerous public appearances; she's also a huge supporter of Gabriela Hearst's ready-to-wear and accessories, and she's even sported more accessible eco-friendly labels like Rothy's, Cuyana, and Everlane.

J Lo Styles a Plunging White Maxi Dress With Sporty Platform Sandals

Fresh off their second honeymoon, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck enjoyed a dinner date at Japanese restaurant Nobu in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 4. Still holding onto summer, Lopez, 53, wore a sheer, loose-fitting white maxi dress with Adidas x Gucci slides in red and white. The long-sleeved ankle-length garment features a plunging V-shaped neckline, a drawstring waist, and long, billowing sleeves that she layered over a white halter slip.

The "Marry Me" actress paired the vacation-ready piece with a tan and black Christian Dior tote and accessorized with gold hoops, matching bracelets, a rectangular pendant necklace, and some rings. Her hair, styled into a loose french twist with curls framing her face, allowed her soft-glam makeup to shine.
