I'm Officially Done With Cutoffs Now That I Found This Denim Romper

I'll always have a soft spot for cutoff shorts. They're a perennial favorite for many reasons - easy to dress up and dress down, and a reliable seasonal staple. But one thing they definitely aren't is comfortable. If it's not the waistband digging into my hips, it's the shorts collecting on my thighs, creating a chafe-like rub that reddens my legs. So while I still wear and cherish my denim shorts, I know they don't have a long life. They're definitely not something I can wear all day.

Which is why I was particularly excited to try the Free People One Teaspoon Pink Prophecy One-Piece ($198). Denim? Check. Completely loose-fitting and damn near impossible to chafe? You betcha. The piece comes in a host of colors, and I grabbed a pair in an olive wash. The stitching and raw hem make it super casual, and the long sleeves are a nice twist on the popular boiler suit trend. I've long been a jumpsuit girl, and perhaps my favorite detail is that the suit fastens with snaps, not buttons! Talk about a quick trip to the bathroom.

I recently wore it to work with my combat boots (which I'm determined to make seasonless) and plan to dress it up in the future with a leather fanny pack to give the illusion of a silhouette.
